IPL 2024: Chennai Super Kings Set to Clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Tournament Opener 22 March

The stage is set for an electrifying kickoff to the IPL 2024 as MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings gear up to defend their title against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22.

In light of the upcoming general assembly elections slated for April 16, the BCCI has unveiled a packed schedule for the first 17 days of the IPL 2024 season, spanning from March 22 to April 7. During this period, cricket enthusiasts can relish in a total of 21 matches, including four doubleheaders.

The excitement continues on March 23 as the Delhi Capitals face off against the Punjab Kings in their maiden afternoon showdown of the season at Mohali. Simultaneously, the Kolkata Knight Riders will commence their IPL campaign at home against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On March 24, fans can anticipate an enthralling encounter between the Gujarat Titans and the Mumbai Indians, led by their erstwhile skipper Hardik Pandya, in Ahmedabad, marking the Titans’ inaugural clash in the IPL.

Notably, the Delhi Capitals will play their initial two home fixtures in Vizag during the tournament’s first phase, with no matches scheduled in Delhi.
