PSL 2024: Multan Sultans Beat Quetta Gladiators in PSL Match

In a thrilling encounter at Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday (February 25), Multan Sultans emerged victorious over Quetta Gladiators by 13 runs in the PSL 2024 match 11.

Multan’s bowlers showcased a stellar performance, defending a total of 180 runs and securing their triumph over Quetta Gladiators. Mohammad Ali was the standout performer, claiming figures of 3/19. Supported by David Willey (3/37) and Aftab Ibrahim (2/26), Multan’s bowling attack proved too much for Quetta.

Khawaja Nafay scored 36 runs off 31 balls, while Rilee Rossouw contributed 30 runs off 18 balls, making them the top run-scorers for Quetta Gladiators.. Meanwhile, Multan’s batting charge was led by skipper Mohammad Rizwan (51 runs off 42 balls) and Reeza Hendricks (72 runs off 47 balls), with Tayyab Tahir’s cameo of 35 runs off 22 balls in the death overs proving crucial. Mohammad Amir (2/46) was the top wicket-taker for Quetta Gladiators.

Winning the toss, Quetta opted to field first. Multan’s batters, spearheaded by Mohammad Rizwan, set an aggressive tone from the outset. Despite Usman Khan’s brisk start, his dismissal by Abrar Ahmed didn’t deter Multan’s momentum as Rizwan and Hendricks built a formidable partnership.
